IISc Bangalore has put the GATE 2026 official answer key on the GOAPS portal on 22 February 2026. Along with the key, candidates can also see the Candidate Response URL and the Master Question Paper. Anyone who wrote GATE 2026 can log in and download these files from their account. How to Download GATE 2026 Answer Key and Response Sheet?

  1. Open gate2026.iisc.ac.in
  2. Tap the GOAPS Portal link or open Candidate Response URL tab
  3. Enter Enrollment ID, Password, and captcha
  4. After login, go to Answer Key / Response Sheet area
  5. Download the Master Question Paper and Answer Key PDF
  6. Save the PDF properly (print is optional)

How to Check Your Expected Marks Using the Key

  1. Open your response sheet and the official answer key
  2. Compare each answer carefully with the master paper
  3. Use the marking rule given:
  • Each correct answer gives 1 mark or 2 marks as per the question
  • MSQ and NAT: no negative marking
  • MCQ: negative marking is applicable as 1/3 or 2/3 as per the question
  1. Add marks for correct answers and reduce marks only where MCQ negative marking applies
  2. The final total is your estimated raw score

GATE 2026 Challenge Window: Raise Objections

If you find any mistake in the official answer key, you can challenge it on GOAPS. The challenge window is open only for a short time, so candidates must do it within the given timeline.

  1. Login to GOAPS using Enrollment ID and Password
  2. Open Challenge Answer Key section
  3. Select the question(s) you want to challenge
  4. Give a proper reason and upload supporting proof
  5. Pay the fee online (per question)
  6. Submit the challenge form
